The Income-tax Department, Government of India, West Bengal & Sikkim Region, inviting applications from qualified Cost Accountants for empanelment under section 142(2A) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Applicants must be reputable partnership firms, proprietary concerns, or Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) based in the region, engaged primarily in cost accountancy. Official Notification has been published on 28.03.24. Interested candidates have to apply before the last date on 15th April 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should be a reputed partnership firm a proprietary concern or a liability partnership (LLP), Having its office in the area falling within the territorial jurisdiction of the principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, West Bengal and Sikkim, and primarily engaged in the profession of cost accountancy and cost auditing having a staff/article strength of at least 3, and a minimum of 2 Cost Accountants working continuously with the applicant for at least last one year.
Cost Accountant – Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
