Goa University Recruitment 2024, Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
The minimum qualifications for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor
shall be-
a) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
b) The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or SET conducted by the UGC/ the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC.
c) the candidates registered for the Ph.D. program for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in the University subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:
- The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode
- At least two external examiners have evaluated The Ph.D. thesis
- An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted.
- The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, of which at least one is in a refereed journal.
OR
The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:
- Quacqarelli Symonds (QS)
- The Times Higher Education (THE)
- The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).
Desirable Qualification-
In addition to the requirements specified above, the following mandatory
requirements shall be applicable-
- Minimum of 15 years of Residence in Goa.
- Knowledge of Konkani and Marathi shall be desirable.

Goa University Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024, How to Apply
Application on plain paper addressed to the Registrar, Goa University, bio-data with self-attested copies of valid caste certificates, valid residence certificates, and certificates of educational qualification shall be submitted in the office of the Assistant Registrar (Teaching), Administrative Office, Goa University half an hour (30 minutes) before the scheduled time of the interview.
Candidate shall produce the original certificates for verification during the interview.
